  • Goal Differential Avg:  +2.5
  • LaxPower Power Rating:  85.22

Wentzville lost in the regular season to Fort Zumwalt (3-10) and John Burroughs (6-11), however 6 days after losing to Zumwalt in their regular season finale, Wentzville beat Zumwalt in the first round of the playoffs 7-5. Marquette and Wentzville met on May 2; Wentzville won that game 12-8.

Here are highlights from their regular season meeting (Thanks @DirtyDogDigital):

Marquette had regular season loses to Wentzville and Burroughs (3-6). The Mustangs not only held Burroughs to their lowest scoring game in MO, but they also played Burroughs closer than anyone else in state – a 3 point game. Marquette will need keep the momentum they have coming into the game.

This semi-final match up has all the right ingredients to be a great game. Both teams seem to be fairly evenly matched, but we think Marquette will be the one to survive and advance.

Show-Me Lax Prediction: Marquette wins 9-8 OT
